The Runway Night Market

The Runway Night Market in Pattaya is named after the huge jumbo jet that stands at its center, a striking landmark you can’t miss. This sprawling market is open from late afternoon until late at night, making it perfect for an evening stroll, and is huge enough that comfortable shoes and cash are a must—many vendors don’t take cards.

The food areas have plenty of tables and chairs, and several points feature massive cinema-sized screens. I’ve spent several evenings here watching football—not the loud, chanting kind, but a relaxed vibe where you can sit outside on a warm evening with street food and a cold beer. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming, with lights, music, and the buzz of people exploring stalls.

The variety of street food is incredible. You’ll find Thai favorites like grilled meats and noodles, Indian dishes, and plenty of desserts. With over 100 vendors, there’s truly something for everyone. A few standout treats I noticed were [insert specific dishes if you want], perfect for tasting as you wander.

There was also a vendor with large pythons and an eagle, available for photos—not for eating. Personally, I don’t encourage this kind of attraction, but then again, I eat meat—so who am I to judge?

The market is easy to reach from central Pattaya and nearby beaches, making it an ideal stop for both tourists and locals looking for a relaxed evening of food, shopping, and entertainment.
