La La Lake Pattaya – A Hidden Waterfront Gem with a Touch of Dubai
Tucked away just off Soi Khao Talo, La La Lake feels like a secret oasis far removed from the noise and neon of central Pattaya. The first thing that strikes you is the layout — a beautifully designed lake surrounded by individual dining decksand floating gazebos, each one private and framed by trees. There’s a sense of calm and quiet sophistication here, almost like one of those lakeside lounges in Dubai — not in a flashy way, but in how carefully everything has been arranged to look serene from every angle.
The Setting
From the entrance, a thatched walkway leads you out over the water, where wooden paths connect each private table. You’re cocooned in your own little space, separated by hedges or trellis screens, with views across the water. During the day, sunlight glints off the lake while the trees cast a cool shade over the decks. By evening, the place transforms — lanterns flicker, soft amber lights reflect across the water, and the whole lake takes on a romantic glow.
It’s stylish, but still unmistakably Thai. The woodwork feels natural, the air hums with cicadas, and the breeze carries that soft scent of lakeside greenery. It’s the perfect blend — Dubai-inspired elegance meets Thai tranquility.
The Menu
The menu is a good mix of Thai classics, seafood, and Western comfort food — enough choice for everyone without feeling overwhelming.
I ordered a seafood tom yum that arrived bubbling in a clay pot, fragrant with lemongrass and galangal. My friend went for the grilled river prawns, fresh and slightly smoky, served with a fiery seafood sauce. If you’re more in the mood for comfort food, there’s carbonara, chicken wings, and steak and mashed potatoes, all nicely presented but unpretentious.
Drinks are simple and refreshing — fruit shakes, iced coffees, cold beers, and a short wine list. My iced latte was excellent: rich, smooth, and just what I needed on a warm afternoon.
Prices
Prices are very reasonable for such a peaceful setting. Most Thai dishes sit around 120–180 THB, seafood mains between 250–450 THB, and Western options roughly 200–300 THB. Drinks are 60–120 THB, depending on what you choose. Two people can comfortably eat well here for under 1,000 THB — great value considering the lakeside privacy and atmosphere.
Why It’s Worth Visiting
What sets La La Lake apart is the privacy. Each table feels like your own little pavilion — no crowded seating, no background chatter. It’s perfect for family meals, where kids can feed the fish between courses, or for romantic dates, when you want quiet conversation over the water and candlelight.
It’s a place that balances design and nature beautifully — a lakeside escape that wouldn’t feel out of place in a Dubai resort, yet still keeps its easy Thai charm. With friendly staff, good food, and that calm water view, La La Lake is one of those Pattaya spots that makes you slow down, stay a little longer, and already start planning your next visit before you leave.
