Haus Café & Bar is located at 141/6 Soi Bang Lamung 12, in a quieter coastal area just north of central Pattaya. The café sits along a small, peaceful side street, away from the main tourist thoroughfares, giving it a calm, tucked-away feel. The building is two stories tall, featuring a minimalist, modern design with clean lines and a soft color palette. Large windows on both levels allow natural light to fill the space and provide glimpses of the surrounding neighborhood. Wooden accents and subtle greenery around the entrance add warmth and a welcoming touch. The upper floor extends slightly outward, creating a small terrace that looks toward the nearby coastline. The combination of neutral tones, natural materials, and simple architectural details gives Haus Café a stylish yet understated appearance, making it visually appealing without being flashy.
When you first walk in, if it wasn’t for the signage, you might feel you are in the wrong place. The first floor doesn’t feel like a café, and going upstairs, you still aren’t entirely sure. Then you find it. The room opens up with a patio door at the far end, perfectly framing the sea, and the wooden décor is lit beautifully by the setting sun. It really is a unique café. From the balcony, you can hear the waves gently lapping on the beach beneath you.
The café is a hidden gem, also offering creative workshops like painting and jewellery making—a fun way for solo travellers to meet people. But the real star is the coffee. On a hot afternoon, an iced caramel latte was exactly what I needed, perfectly refreshing. Classics like cappuccinos and lattes are also well made. We arrived around 4 pm and, for reasons lost in translation (my Thai is almost non-existent), the kitchen had already closed. Still, online reviews rave about the food, from the Yehliu Fisherman’s Fried Seafood, loaded with shrimp, scallops, and squid, to sweet waffles served with fresh juice. If you want to try the dishes, it’s best to check the hours or call ahead.
