The difference here is that you can see details on the ground, you can see your friends smiling and looking up at you cameras at the ready. If you aren’t exhausted after the days physical activities , why not take a trip to Treetown. There are many little places to eat, this is more Thai street food style but there are also restaurants there. But once you have eaten you can walk around and find a bar to enjoy. Many of the bars have live music ( Basilisk is my favourite for that ), most have a pool table, so if you are by yourself just put your name down and wait your turn for a game, this is a good way to meet people. And either side of Treetown you have Soi Buakhao and Myth Night and both of these have many many bars.
