About Us

Having been a regular traveler to Thailand since the mid-90s, I’ve watched the country — and myself — change dramatically. What excited me back then is very different from what I enjoy today.

I moved to Pattaya four years ago, and when I mention it, people often give that “knowing” look — Pattaya has a reputation, after all. But living here reveals so much more than the headlines about Walking Street and go-go bars.

The city has evolved into a vibrant coastal hub with something for everyone. There are stunning rooftop bars with panoramic views, chic cafes and restaurants lining 10 km of beaches, and endless activities — from skydiving, paragliding, scuba diving, and ATV tours to speedboat trips to nearby islands, guided jet ski adventures, or relaxed sailing days.

For something more peaceful, visit ethical elephant sanctuaries (where you can feed and observe rescued elephants in a natural setting) or dog sanctuaries. You can explore lush botanical gardens, catch breathtaking sunsets from hilltop viewpoints, or simply unwind on quieter stretches like Jomtien Beach.

Pattaya isn’t just a party destination — it’s a place where adventure, nature, and laid-back living come together. After all these years, it’s still surprising me in the best ways.

What Is My Goal?

My goal is simple: when I tell people where I live, I don’t want them to give me that ‘knowing’ look! Jokes aside, I want people to hear “Pattaya” and think of all the other amazing things you can do here. It’s a fantastic place to visit, and being so close to Bangkok (less than 90 minutes by taxi) means it doesn’t add much time to your journey.

Do I Get Paid?

That’s why there are no photos of me on the site—trust me, it wouldn’t help with views anyway! But seriously, it’s because I want to leave completely honest reviews of restaurants, cafés, bars, and excursions. I only review places I personally visit and enjoy (or don’t). I don’t get paid by any of them, and I have no plans to change that—ever.

There are some affiliate links for excursions on the site, and yes, if someone books through one, I might earn a small commission (at no extra cost to you). But for restaurants, bars, cafés, and the like? Nothing. Zero. I just love eating out—when I try a new spot, I snap a couple of pics and share my straightforward opinion.

What To Expect

You’ll find regularly updated, honest reviews of restaurants, cafés, bars, and rooftop spots across Pattaya and nearby areas. You can easily search reviews by location or type to help plan your visit.

There are also blog posts covering a wide range of topics: recommended activities and day trips, things to watch out for, do’s and don’ts in Thailand, practical tips for visitors and expats, and more.

Every review comes from my own first-hand experience—places I’ve actually eaten at or visited. That’s also why some of the photos aren’t professional quality… they’re just quick snaps taken while I’m out enjoying the meal!
